MQA is the sole appointed assessment body for all Hospitality Assured Assessments in the UK.
What is Hospitality Assured?
Hospitality Assured is ‘The Standard for Service and Business Excellence in the Hospitality Industry', formally endorsed by the British Quality Foundation. The requirements in the standard overtly address the whole of the 1999 EFQM Excellence Model.
A National Accreditation Scheme has been developed which enables organisations of all sizes to obtain certification and display the 'Hospitality Assured Symbol' as the recognised symbol for Service and Business Excellence.
Accreditation is jointly awarded by the Institute of Hospitality (formerly the HCIMA) and the British Hospitality Association (BHA).
The Hospitality Assured Scheme for Service and Business Excellence comprises the following elements:
The Hospitality Assured Standard for Service and Business Excellence
A National Accreditation Scheme
A self-assessment diagnostic process for business improvement
A national benchmarking database which has been established by the University of Surrey
A series of practical easy to read 'Toolkits' for specific industry sectors, explaining and giving examples of best practice and training information
A user group of accredited organisations who meet to discuss and exchange views on 'best practice'
