S4E the way forward awarding excellence
MQA has developed a Standard 4 Excellence, In Pursuit of Excellence.
A declaration and accreditation of Excellence with an assessment process and awards aligned with bands of attainment against The Standard 4 Excellence.
A framework which facilitates and inspires the pursuit of service excellence by an organisation whose ambition is focused on providing the best overall experience for its customers.
The principles contained within the framework examines the entire spectrum of service excellence and enterprise, considering it to be everything an organisation embraces and does to profitably win, satisfy and retain customers whilst at the same time exposing them to a satisfying experience.

HA end of an era
Until April 2011, MQA was the sole appointed assessment body for all Hospitality Assured Assessments in the UK.
Hospitality Assured was ‘The Standard for Service and Business Excellence in the Hospitality Industry', formally endorsed by the British Quality Foundation. The requirements in the standard overtly address the whole of the 1999 EFQM Excellence Model.
A National Accreditation Scheme devised and developed in asssociation with MQA with Accreditation jointly awarded by the Institute of Hospitality <http://www.instituteofhospitality.org/> (formerly the HCIMA) and the British Hospitality Association <http://www.bha-online.org.uk/> (BHA).
It proved a lucrative product, originating in 1998, HA's success ran over more than a ten year period which is quite an achievement for a trade related quality standard. MQA professional assessors were widely well regarded with many clients appreciating the independent 'health check' and considerations they delivered in the process.
Ceasing now as impartial accreditted sole assessment body as The Institute of Hospitality takes the HA scheme in-house having revised the standard and comparisons, MQA is free to continue to provide assessment services throughout the sector to other standards.
Chief Executive of IoH Philippe Rossiter wrote to Ian Griffith joint managing director of MQA ' the Institute is indebted to yourself and your colleagues (MQA) for the assistance provided and work done in support of the standard over the past few years. In particular, we have greatly appreicated the input given to the development of the Hospitality Assured Standard and .......pass on our thanks to all the assessors who have been involved with the assessments.'
