Hospitality Assured - MQA was for more than 10 years (quite an achievement for a trade related quality standard!), the sole independent assessment body for the Institute of Hospitality and had been instumental in bringing about the original business excellence standard and recommendations for subsequent upgrades and change, until in April 2011 when the contract ended the Institute decided to take it in-house, no longer use an impartial or accreditted body and reduce stipulations in the scheme.

The MQA 01 Specification for Marketing, Sales and Customer Assurance which is an associated document to ISO 9001:2008

The MQA Specification for Customer Service and Business Excellence which meets the criteria laid down in the European Business Excellence Model, EFQM and is an Associated document to ISO 9001:2008

Since its inception, Marketing Quality Assurance Ltd (MQA) has established and consistently maintains a reputation for objectivity and impartiality in its assessment activity and certification awards. This is achieved by management systems and processes which ensure that potential conflicts of interest are eliminated and all certification award decisions are based exclusively on objective evidence of conformity to specified requirements defined in Standards. MQA does not offer management system consultancy and maintains processes which ensure that no financial or practical advantage is gained by neither a client nor its management system as a result of implementing a particular management system or the use of a particular consultancy.
