BS 7911 was developed by the Market Research Quality Association (MRQSA) whose members represent all parts of the Market Research industry and has been updated in January 2003.

Initial Assessment or Gap Analysis is used as a guide which can be used to find out how close an organisation is to meeting the requirements of BS 7911.
